● Secure positions on government advisory boards and committees.
● Promote a positive image of the sport and provide ATV-related literature to
affiliated clubs.
● Participate in area sports shows and events.
● Update the media on ATV-related issues and explain their potential effects on
ATV use and the state's economy.
● Support business members by listing them on the website and providing them
with a plaque and tag for each year of membership.
● Promote responsible ATV trail development and maintenance among
affiliated clubs to minimize environmental impact.
● Foster collaboration with landowners, government, and other
organizations to expand land access for ATV clubs.
● Educate landowners, law enforcement, and local government about the
advantages of a well-maintained ATV trail system.
● Emphasize the importance of constructing durable trails that can withstand
consistent ATV use.
● $3,500 Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefit to all primary members,
their immediate families, and supporting business owners.
● General Liability Insurance to all affiliated clubs.
ATV Maine maintains two safety trailers equipped with resources to promote safe and
responsible ATV riding. Each trailer is stocked with two age-appropriate machines,
specifically designed for young riders to familiarize themselves with ATV operation and
develop essential riding skills in a controlled environment. These trailers serve as mobile
training centers, allowing ATV Maine to bring hands-on safety education directly to
communities throughout the state.
● Young riders are monitored by 2 to 6 adults.
● The course is supervised and closed, allowing access to only two machines.
● The machines are equipped with remote kill switches controlled by adults and
speed limiters set to a maximum of 10 mph.
● If the kill switch is activated, the rider can either continue or get off the
machine.
● The course features trail signs and simulated bridges.
