Today the IF&W committee carried over LD 341 (3500) bill, and the bill sponsors of the other overweight bill killed their bill, so that LD 341 is the only bill left. The committee will study LD 341 over the summer break and then take up LD 341 in the next session in January.

We support this approach and know that getting more info always helps. By representing all ATVers in Maine, both that belong and those that don't, ATV Maine has had success for the ATV community like the Gas Tax bill.
I will keep you all informed with facts so you all can make some sound judgements about overweight ATVs in the months to come. If you have any questions, please call or email us so we can help out.
Here is a list of overweight ATV models the state of Maine published. While the list includes all models identified to date, it may not reflect every oversized ATV. The state will continue to update it as new models are confirmed, so please check back regularly for the latest information.

There's not much point in allowing the weight increase to 3500 without at least increasing the width limitation to 67 or 68". I'm not really sure a 3500# machine exists that is 65" or under.
