To Members of ATV Maine                                                                                                                                                                           March 13, 2023

Hello, Members of ATV Maine, just a little update as to what’s going on in the first half of March, we have been busy, our new membership cards have arrived, and Daryl has them already and you all will be seeing them soon. We have a new 2023 ATV Maine sticker that ATV Maine will be sent to all members both old and new. We realize that this year will be a little more work for membership people but once they fill out the new card and send it to ATV Maine, we will then starting with next season your cards will come all filled out from your membership lists and then the only cards that you will be hand filling out are our new members. I believe this will help a lot and if we need to change something by listening to our clubs, we can do that.

On March 9th Daryl and I met up with Keith Herrick (ATV Maine’s lobbyists) in Augusta for a day’s work of talking to members of the IF&W committee to talk about our bills and getting ready to testify. We will give you more info once we get more, Thursday’s meetings were mostly getting the committee up to speed so they could understand as Keith reported in my last letter.

We attended the Orono Sportsman Show over the past weekend and had great success our new trade show display looked great we had a chance to talk to some old friends and new friends and we even have a chance to gain more clubs they like the low-cost liability insurance that covers for liability and even events so that they won’t have to purchase and additional insurance policy. People were also impressed that ATV Maine has their own Lobbyists on payroll all supported by your membership dues.

We now are gearing up for the Presque Isle Sportsman Show on 3/25 and 3/26 and the Augusta Sportsman Show on 3/31, 4/1, and 4/2 all before our banquet on 4/15. If you haven’t got your tickets for the banquet, please email Daryl and do it soon we have some interesting speakers especially if your club wants to get started with a website or update your old one, we have a web designer going to be doing a presentation for our clubs so whatever you don’t miss this banquet this year.

Sincerely,

John Raymond
